Faker wins his fourth World Championship

In 2023, the League of Legends World Championship concluded with a spectacular victory for T1 at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul. This intense and gripping competition saw T1 secure the championship with three decisive wins against Weibo Gaming, marking their fourth title and igniting immense local pride.

Despite Weibo Gaming's efforts to counter, T1's expert strategies and precision attacks left them struggling to keep pace, resulting in a one-sided grand final. Nevertheless, this event remains an unforgettable moment for everyone involved, especially T1's players and fans.

T1's mid-laner, Faker, achieved a remarkable victory in the recent World Championship, extending his legacy with a seventh consecutive championship win. His last triumph against Samsung Galaxy dated back to 2016.

Notably, T1 dominated throughout the best-of-five series against LPL teams. In the 2023 World Championship, they conquered all four Chinese teams—defeating BLG in the Swiss stage, LNG in the quarterfinals, JDG in the semifinals, and ultimately triumphing over WBG in the grand final.

T1 showcased an exceptional performance in the grand final, displaying superior technical prowess and strategic acumen, clinching victories in each match.

Zeus, T1's top laner, made a lasting impression with his exceptional mastery of various champions, effortlessly outperforming Weibo Gaming's TheShy and earning the MVP title for the grand final.

Oner, T1's jungler, exhibited extraordinary abilities throughout the 2023 World Championship, leaving an undeniable impact on the games. Alongside Oner, Faker played a pivotal role in critical moments, while Gumayusi and Keria in the bot lane contributed consistently to the team's success.

T1, previously known as SK Telecom T1, marked the start of Faker's professional career in 2013, earning him widespread recognition as one of the greatest players in history. His first victory in the League of Legends World Championship in 2013, earning him the title of "The Unkillable Demon King," remains a remarkable achievement as the youngest professional player in League of Legends.

In 2022, tears flowed as T1 faced defeat against DRX in the grand final. However, after enduring three consecutive heartbreaks in international finals, there were no tears following their victory at the 2023 World Championship. Overcoming their inner demons, T1 triumphed in the most prestigious League of Legends tournament in their own exceptional way—a story destined to be remembered for generations.
